It was  a decision that had to be made sooner rather than later and in February 2013 we moved lock, stock and barrel to North Yorkshire and to Norton Grange Stables.

Malton is proper racing country with the Langton Wold and Highfield Gallops at our disposal and with all the first class facilities, it is without doubt the place we want to be.

This year there is an even mix of point-to-pointers, as well as those who will run under NH rules, and 2015 could be our most lucrative so far.

Injuries go with the territory of training racehorses however last season we seemed to have more than our fair share. The brightest part of the year coming when Grey Monk made his first start for us a winning one,  bolting up at Hexham in October.

Want to join the winning team

We are looking for new point-to-point and hunter chase season.

Without doubt the prices are the best in the area with the basic training fees set at £150 per week.

As we have our own transport the travelling costs are kept to a minimum at 50p per mile.

Single, joint or syndicate ownership all welcome.

Winning French chaser Symphonick has joined the yard from Paul Nicholls' during the spring and will try his hand between the flagas prior to Hunter Chasing next winter.
Never Forget Poppy enjoyed a promising start to his career when racing four times last point-to-point season, showing improvement on each occasion and a maiden looks his for the taking.
The promising Max Johnson regularly comes over to ride and school during the winter months and the association can look forward to plenty of excitement over the coming months.

Bellapais Abbey is another maiden to look forward to and can only improve as he gains experience. He fell on his debut last term when going best of all and was rather let down by his jumping on his only other start, eventually finishing third at Easingwold. He has joined David Brown to race under rules and ran a cracker when beaten a head at Market Rasen in June. If he isn't sold before the turn of the year then he will point to point next season and could be top class in that sphere. The long trek to Taunton almost paid off with 'Maestro' on his seasonal reappearance when he was narrowly touched off in May and again ran up to his best when second at Wolverhampton three months later.Click to add text, images, and other content
